Veronika Hanáková is in process of becoming film/visual theoretician. She is finishing a master’s degree in new media studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, and simultaneously is part of post-planetary universal design’s program at the New Centre. In her research, she is looking at the digital surfaces that exceed mimetic characteristics – from realistic rendering into unlimited ooze of matter – this shift therefore seeks to see the affective power in the materiality of virtual imagery. Beside the written text, videographic research is becoming more prominent in expressing her investigation of contemporary visual landscape(s). In addition, she is engaged in curatorial projects mainly focused on queer / horror / and animated audiovisual works.
