Andrea Oliver Roberts is a multidisciplinary artist and musician based in Treaty 1 Territory, Winnipeg, Canada.  Known for sculptural sound installation and performance works that contend with noise, trauma, language, and systems of belief within techno-capitalism, Roberts also records with the solo experimental sound project VOR. They have shared their work in galleries, project spaces, and festivals internationally, with presentations include Send + Receive Festival of Sound Art, Plug In ICA STAGES Biennial, SAW Video, TRUCK Gallery, SOMArts San Francisco, and The Auxiliary UK.  A recent artist in residence at Pioneerworks Center for Art and Innovation in Brooklyn and at Miami’s Oolite Arts, Roberts’ work has been recognized by the Murphy & Cadogan Contemporary Art Award and a number of awards from Canada Council for the Arts. They hold an MFA in Sculpture from California College of the Arts (2014) and a BFA Hons. in Sculpture from the University of Manitoba (2011).
