The director Nelly Ben Hayoun attended the International Astronautical Federation Spring Meeting in Paris from 21 – 23rd March 2017 where she spoke about the University of the Underground.

Nelly Ben Hayoun, a member of the Space Outreach and Education Committee at the International Astronautical Federation and of The Committee for the Cultural Utilisation of Space (ITACCUS) will be chairing Session E1.9_ Space Culture at the 68th International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide, Australia in September 2017.  This session focuses on the process, critical thinking and methodologies underlying space education and outreach events. The IAC is the world’s biggest space event gathering all the relevant actors in the space sector. She selected the papers for this session at the International Astronautical Spring Meeting in Paris. 

Nelly’s co-chair was Lise-Loup Antoniadis.

The Space Education and Outreach Committee (SEOC) promotes the development and delivery of quality learning and outreach opportunities for students and educators and members of the IAF so that Space, Science and Technology become better known and are more accessible to the global community.
