Phumzile Nombuso Twala is a South African writer, arts practitioner and Funda Community College Creative Arts Incubation alum, currently studying (BA Hons) History of Art at Wits University.

She is a 2019 alumnus of the Independent Curators International (ICI) Programme.

She is co-founder of Curatorial Collective Inzalabantu with her creative collaboration partner Simangaliso Sibiya. As a Collective they are currently producing a project based on the history and heritage of the South African Minibus Taxi Industry.

She was recently appointed Curator of the Oxfam South Africa (OZA) Inequality Report Exhibition, due to showcase at the Workers’ Museum in Newtown, Johannesburg.

Her research interests are in Heritage, Archives, Museums, Collections, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, Art Education, Participatory Practice, Social Justice and Development.
