Through the flatness and the bumpiness of udon, this research explores the ever changing personal fragments that truly matter and their potential for revolution through the usage of these dual qualities.

The flatness and bumpiness of udon are a personal set of terms given for dualities of existence, as an attempt to make sense, and as an attempt to communicate and discuss about the issues that can be challenging to talk about.

Through the relative distance of video calls this research by Iivi Meltaus aims to collect different sets of personal dualism fragments of existence, zooming into
the moments of realisation or change. Sometimes in those moments bumpiness almost becomes flatness and vice versa, challenging the gaze.
