Ciara Waldron is an independent researcher from Galway, Ireland, currently based in Amsterdam. She studied the History of Art and Architecture and recently completed a Master’s in Art Theory and Criticism. Her research interests include the social ontology of institutions with a focus on the practices of the commons in contemporary society and alternative methods of production and practice in arts institutions. She was involved in the 2018 Abortion Rights Campaign in Ireland, and her work seeks to explore the potential of art as activism across a broad spectrum of social issues.
