At the beginning of June, University of the Underground’s London space – Village Underground was visited by the magnificent crew from Metropolis, a cultural TV programme broadcasted weekly on ARTE  TV. The University’s Director Nelly Ben Hayoun talked about the mission of University of the Underground and showed the crew around the venue that will host our students in the future.

ARTE (Association relative à la télévision européenne) is a public Franco-German TV network, a European channel, that promotes programming in the areas of culture and the arts. It is made up of three separate companies: the Strasbourg-based European Economic Interest Grouping ARTE GEIE, plus two member companies acting as editorial and programme production centres, ARTE France in Paris (France) and ARTE Deutschland in Baden-Baden (Germany). 

METROPOLIS is a weekly cultural magazine on ARTE which offers 50 minutes of reports on intellectual and artistic life in Germany, France and the rest of Europe. On the program: music, theatre, dance, literature, cinema, comics, new media, architecture, all seen by the original and committed prism of a Franco-German editorial.
