Clemens runs the Laboratory of Narrative Materials which sets out new ways of articulation through image and material creation for new sensory perceptions.  Clemens is also  a lecturer and research associate at the University of the Arts Zurich (CH) mainly on responsive materials at the Interaction Design Department and guest lecturer at Central Saint Martins´ Material Futures Department, London. Prior, he has studied at the MIT Media Labs, Boston and graduated in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art, London.

His keen interest lies in design methods crossing physics and chemistry in multidisciplinary gatherings for sharing experiences on various test grounds. At the moment, he is starting to consider cognition as distributed in processes and composed in matter.
